Goldleaf Financial Solutions Inc (NASDAQ: GFSI), which offers deposit automation and payment processing solutions for financial institutions and small businesses, said on 14 August that the company's new full site secure sockets layer (SSL) capabilities have been chosen by Shore Bank of Onley, Virginia to improve its security. SSL is a standard security technology that helps customers to check the validity of a website, created from a Certificate Authority (CA), a private company that issues digital certificates. Goldleaf handles all the certificate management, makes sure that certificates do not expire and upgrades as necessary.
The Goldleaf's solution also improves the performance of online access and paging, which means that navigating speed within the website is not compromised due to the added security.
